Texas Excellence

What is it about Texas? Flair, style, class? Well, Delaney Vineyards & Winery located in Grapevine, Texas, has it all. The beautiful winery was built in 1995 and was crafted tastefully with stone and brick. The stately structure has a small, but elegant lobby and relatively small gift shop. The Delaney wine tasting is focused on sharing a variety of the wines produced by the winery. You can drop in and taste, however, if you have a group of 6 or more, it's recommended that you let them know you are coming so that they will reserve a table for you.

Here is the mix of wines that we tasted:

2011 Sauvignon Blanc
This wine was light with bursts of citrus, grass and mineral notes.

2011 Chardonnay
This delicious Chardonnay was crafted with care. The wine boasts vanilla and butter notes.

Texas Rosé
This tasty blush is a blend of Chardonnay, Muscat Canelli and Petit Verdot. The Muscat Canelli gives the wine some sweetness. A great pleaser on a fall day.

Pinot Noir
The Pinot Noir is light and bright with strawberry and rose petal aromas with a rich deep purple color and a fine bouquet of bing cherry.

Sweet Texas Red
Sweet Texas Red is a unique blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This mix has a surprising sweet finish.

The wine tasting costs $10.00
